If I could convince all scientists to use Dropbox, Github, Glip (not Slack...), Google Docs, and Paperpile, my life would truly be complete.

No issues with Slack - it's great. However, Glip is just a lot better - task management, calendar, shelf, etc.

This may be true but it is a pain in the arse that I have to use Glip solely to collaborate with you.

Plus Glip is free - even for power users. I AM worried about them making it long term though.
