We are being forced onto 365 too. Such pain.
Just don't get it... SO many great options these days - this one not being one of them.

It is because it is the only way to license word and excel across the institution.

WOW! I didn't know that - that is SO terrible. Hopefully one day we can get rid of Office entirely. Getting close!
