I completely agree. Are there any papers or has anyone compiled info on these super-spreading event? I think a formal analysis across geographies and age-groups would be very informative.

What I think we don't know is how "dark matter" might play a role in development of severe disease. I can hand-wave about that possibility, but really not convinced of much including whether it's a real phenomenon.
