Don’t quite agree. Just got this over on FB: “I will say alot of the covid deaths have been padded. Listing most deaths as covid but the number of actual deaths was lower last month compared to last year same period. Do you thank this another hyperinflated hoax petpetuated” etc.

I think this is quite a stretch. 98% of what the CDC does is going on the same as before coronavirus. Same brilliant people, same important projects and results. The exec branch affects day to day work waaay less than people think.

Respectfully, the CDC issues are far more serious than Trump. Maybe brilliant scientists. Maybe not. Massive data/operational failures. Massive. As Romney noted, CDC looks like something out of the 1960s. Romney is many things I don’t agree with but he’s incredibly smart.
