Agreed, and since a lot of their work was with partners in Wuhan, if you actually *could* prevent a pandemic via this work, shouldn't they have prevented the current one? Yes, totally unfair of me to say that, but that's what they claim they're able to do... It's nonsense.

PREDICT/GVP increased the risk of an outbreak and provided no information--absolutely no information--useful for preventing or combating an outbreak.

Using the research funds misspent on PREDICT/GVP for countermeasures development would have put world in *much* better position. Both in terms of risk reduction and in terms of preparedness.
