The thing that concerns me the most at the moment is that three months from now there will be two types of countries - those that believe you can control #COVID19 transmission in a population slowly building up herd immunity, and those that know that you cannot.

But is there anything countries can do besides slowing down the spread to avoid overwhelming the health care system? Or was that your point?

Yes, breaking chains of infection by active tracing by testing and isolation of infected people

Sure, but that's still only slowing down the spread. And maybe opening up society while continuously testing and isolating infected people. But is that really possible to control?

basic epi and outbreak control. Isolate positives who are mildly symtpomatic or asymptomatic. They're the ones spreading
#COVID19 in community.#Isolation blocks that chain1 antwoord 0 retweets 1 vind-ik-leuk
Look to South Korea - it’s possible. Still need to see what happens in China as they open up, but they’ll probably control it too. Key is - test, isolate, treat, trace, quarantine. And then test again.
