I have seen a lot of similar tweets and discussions. Please note that these are *not* diagnostic tests - they are serology tests, which measure antibodies, not the virus. 1/nhttps://twitter.com/vaitor/status/1241337295606657033 …

Hi Kristian, Great thread. I'd love to see more strategy around deploying serology tests they seem to be 1/10th the price of PCR-based tests. Wouldn't identifying individuals who are immune to the COVID-19 from prior exposure be optimal for helping to staff response?
Agreed. My SO and I think we’ve already had it and it would be great to know for sure so we can volunteer to help. Any ideas how one would go about getting tested when they are more widely available in US?
Excellent explanation for those unfamiliar with medical and scientific knowledge.Thsnks for spelling it out so well. I’ll use as RT when needed. Thank you!
Wanna laugh? Or cry? Region Campania (Naples region) has bought 1 million kits for serology testing " to rapidly test citizens" Congratulations and good luck.
So @Guido_Ci, which one is effective for this one? RDT or KCK (Korean CoVid Kit)?
It’ll be interesting though to see how societal restrictions evolve if and when herd immunity is reached.
Well I think this is great, because then you know if you can get back to normal, even if you had Covid19 and did not realize it!
IgA is early
Thanks for the great treat - is it just to find the denominator to find the pick and prevalence in the population or is there other application too ?
How long does it take to mount an immune response and can that product be measured in the blood?
