From Bham itself, almost equal travel time to any of N Wales coast near Llandudno, Southerndown near Bridgend, Norfolk coast at Hunstanton, Bournemouth. None of them under 2h away.

Some Canadian friends of ours went to Swansea for the weekend. When asked why they said ‘Swan’, ‘Sea’ - sounded nice. Can’t remember whether they thought it actually was or not.
