I agree. I love Eva’s papers and am joining her group soon. :) what i tried to say is that it took her many years in a long-term cohort to only more recently show clinical evidence. Severe disease (ADE) is rare and therefore harder to study.

Perhaps it does happen on rare occasion, but it’s not likely the reason for ‘why Zika is bad’ narrative that came out with a lot of the early mouse/cell studies. The story is nuanced and not complete, for sure. I’m just waiting for some actual epi data before falling in line.
