Marketing diagnostic shotgun metagenomics to patients and clinicians this way is surely the height of irresponsibility. https://twitter.com/Aperiomics/status/1092558424544444421 …
There are other companies - many in fact. All claim the same, none provide proof. We have all heard plenty of miracle stories, but clinical validation is obviously required. Theranos was the only company that could do hundreds of tests from a single drop of blood...

Follow-up question - you say that you're the only company giving "REAL RESULTS" [your emphasis]. But if you're not diagnosing anything, what REAL RESULTS do you actually give? Doctors give FAKE RESULTS? UNREAL RESULTS? Or maybe just RESULTS?

We are providing comprehensive information about the known microorganisms in a sample....every known bacteria, DNA virus, parasite, and fungus. The words used by our social media group were not ideal and clearly did not convey the message we want conveyed.

There are many companies doing 16S sequencing and/or microbiome testing but none that are using deep metagenomics and our analytics to identify every microorganism that is known.
-
I'm rather confused by your statements - there are a bunch of companies doing exactly that. Just to mention a few - Karius, IDbyDNA, Arc, Cosmos, and so many others.

Karius only works with blood and only identifies ~1500-2500 microbes. IDbyDNA, Arc, and Cosmos use Kmer analytics. Cosmos doesn't work much in the clinical space. Our analytics are unique and allow us to identify with better sensitivity and specificity than any other method.
-
Please do provide data to support your claims that you have better sensitivity and specificity - publications work well for that. For now, we all remain extremely skeptical.
