New outbreak of Ebola in northeastern DRC only one week after another was declared over. Four positive cases with ~26 suspected - unclear at this stage whether this is Zaire or Sudan ebolavirus.https://www.statnews.com/2018/08/01/new-ebola-outbreak-declared/ …
Yes, good point! (I need myself a map with the different ebolavirus outbreaks plotted by species...).

I guess a toss up between Bundibugyo and Sudan based only on a geographical prior: https://www.cdc.gov/vhf/ebola/history/distribution-map.html … but I wouldn’t rule out Zaire.

So EBOV as it turns out. Big question (to a viral phylogeneticist) is how does it relate to the other 2018, the 2017 and the 2014 DRC outbreaks of EBOV?
