Nope - genus (Ebolavirus) is above both species and strain. Presumably Bombali virus (it’s now clarified that it’s a new species - not strain) is in that genus. ‘Presumably’ because we don’t know if that’s accurate until we can see the data (defining a new species can be tricky)

Ahhhh...the way you wrote, e.g., "Bombali ebolavirus," I thought you were making "Bombali" the genus and "ebolavirus" the species (as in "Homo sapiens"). I'm still not sure I'm properly sorting out your 3rd tweet in the thread, but I'll work on it... Thanks.
