Doesn't that defeat the entire purpose of an absentee ballot? Ppl request an absentee ballot because: *They will be ABSENT (out of county), military *They could get sick and/or die *Disabled, elderly, surgery *Incarcerated & not convicted How do their voices get heard?

It can't solve every problem. I ordered an absentee ballot in 2016 because I thought work would prevent me from going to the polls. It never arrived so I managed to get to polling location. They refused me because I had ordered an absentee ballot. This order fixed that.

How about supplying more voting sites? Just saying that would be helpful!

Who would staff the extra voting sites? We rely on volunteer poll workers who aren’t putting themselves/families at risk during a pandemic.

Huh? The Secretary of State does not distribute absentee ballots, and the Kentucky county clerks -- the ones who actually do that -- apparently have been much more successful than what we've seen from elections officers in other states.

All at one polling place during a pandemic?

Our normal polling places in Lexington tend to be very small, in schools/churches, with only 2 voting machines. No way to manage crowds/social distance. Having it at the football stadium meant better crowd control and spacing, also open air. Long lines but safer, & more machines.
