You did it, Kentucky - 889,679 registered voters requested an absentee ballot for the June 23 primary. Add to that 48,044 registered voters who've voted early in-person as of yesterday. Together that's 27% of registered voters. Turnout in this primary will be historically high.
Franklin County's in the lead with 38% "turnout" (ballots requested + votes cast early in-person). Next is Woodford at 32%, then Fayette at 31%. Not all ballots requested necessarily will be cast; but also there are 7 days left to vote in person, so these numbers will increase.

If 10% of Fayette Countians Turn Out to vote on election day, bringing the total Turnout in Fayette to 41% = 24,370 voters or 2,030 voters per hour or 34 voters per minute or 1 voter every 1.765 seconds, of every minute, of every hour for 12 hours. How many machines?
yet only one in-person voting site in Jefferson. That's not enough for a county of >600,000 people, even if most people vote absentee or early. And KFEC is not easily accessible by any mode of transit other than car. We can do better.
What fraction of absentee ballots have been returned to date? Is there a place online where we can find the "turnout" rates such as they are for each county?
