I'm happy to see your tweet, BUT one "black man" mention would suffice. What doesn't suffice is the absence of this judge's name. Give this HEROIC MAN's name so we can know and honor and, frankly, say a prayer for him - one of the heros of our time.

-
There is context for each time I say Black man and I can never say it enough. Also, there is an entire article I wrote about Judge Reeves included in that tweet. If you need more info, perhaps you should read it.

I’m so grateful someone is taking a stand here for healthcare.

Judge Reeves is a national treasure. He also made the landmark ruling in favour of marriage equality in MS and linked the arguments against it to MS’s arguments supporting white supremacy and discrimination. He’s great.

Carlton Reeves is THE MOST TALENTED judge at the district level. Look at his work over the last 5 years. It's not close.
-
I agree 100%. His court orders on marraige equality, hate crimes and the Mississippi state flag case should be required reading in high school civics classes and law schools alike.

Just thinking out loud here. But can you not just move to another state. I wish I had that option at the moment we are fighting ignorant fascism in the UK again.
-
There are a couple of reasons. It’s expensive and sometimes not possible to get work in another state. The cost of living, wages, and property values are low in most of the states that passed the bans, so there is almost an exchange rate between the two.
