Correct. It’s also that Hopkins is a nasty racist with no compassion whatsoever. The tonality of her tweet is just wrong. Merkel’s a hero for doing this in light of Germany’s history so it’s ironic Germany was the only country that really stood up for these persecuted people.

When people do bad things in even the least multicultural societies, we punish them but we don't all get branded with the same brush.
