In 2014, this French weather presenter announced the forecast for August 18, 2050 as part of a campaign to alert to the reality of climate change. Now her forecast that day is the actual forecast for the coming 4 or 5 days, in mid-June 2022.

The spring heatwave in India and Pakistan, where temperatures topping 110F or 43C were responsible for "wide-spread suffering and affected global wheat supplies" was at least 30x more likely because of climate change.

When first started tracking billion-plus dollar extreme weather and climate events in the 1980s, there was an average of 1 event every 4 months. By the 2010s, there was one event every THREE WEEKS on average. And that's just for the U.S.

Climate action in 3 steps: 1. Reduce everything we can, as much as we can, first. 2. Offset the rest (which is impossible to do if we don't reduce everything we can first). 3. Build resilience to the impacts we can no longer avoid. Why? Because the only other choice is suffering.

No; where I live, e.g., it's been over 100F for 2 weeks + this next week. My family has all suffered dehydration despite our best efforts to remain hydrated. We need solutions that work for everyone, not only those who live in walkable areas. Pls watch the TED talk. Thanks!
