After all, decreasing temperature would have posed a threat without the industrial revolution. Warming in that speed is obviously a greater threat, but still in a "what if" world... Thanks for your work and for telling the science!

Interesting. It appears that there is an uptrend that began in the 1600s, before being offset by that volcanic eruption. That would be interesting to read up on. Anyone have any pointers on articles on early anthropogenic global warming?
