Prebuttal: yes, I know there are good medically competent doctors of osteopathy, but its quackery is foundational and enduring, and there’s a reason barely a handful of legit universities produce osteopaths.

Thanks for posting that. I grew up somewhere with osteopathic med school, and DOs weren’t that uncommon, but I didn’t know there were non-physician osteopaths out there. I wonder who ends up becoming a DO — do more come from families whose physicians were DOs?
