Today's Adani conviction is about much more than a fine. Given the criminal nature of this conviction, the Qld Gov now has the ability to cancel or suspend Adani's suitable operator status. Not only that, the conviction could carry serious commercial consequences for Adani.

Celebrating 10 years of directing the Global Change Institute. Doing my postdoc at the GCI completely changed my career direction, and I've had so many wonderful opportunities thanks to Ove (including but not limited to meeting Sir David). Thanks for all you do, Ove!

‘Mr Stein described attacks on "independent institutions", including the IPC and Land and Environment Court as "deplorable". He said the government's changes to scope 3 emission showed it had its "head in the sand" over global climate change.
