My 20-month investigation into oil & gas radioactivity has just been published. Waste spilled, spread, dumped across the US (& world). Worker cancers indisputably linked to radioactivity. Communities poisoned. Impacts for industry may be catastrophic:

Thank you for excellent reporting on the toll that is taking on the health of workers, families and communities across the U.S. and in SWPA and the Ohio River Valley.

Oil & gas industry has deceived their workers, contaminated communities, left a shocking trail of radioactive waste that continues to grow. My investigation is just beginning.. Govt & corporations WILL be held accountable. More soon with

My latest interview w/ whose joined forces to tell "the" story in the fracking world: radiation. TuneIn down the rabbit hole from the beginning of time to the present-day legacy of untold radioactive risks in black shale

This is less than a mile from a housing area that includes a building, head start center, and hundreds of tribal members ranging from the infants to the elderly. Here on its business as usual.

Oil and gas production has many environmental impacts – but few know about the extraction waste, or “brine,” created during drilling. As writes for , it’s also radioactive – and lightly regulated.

Thank you so much for an excellent interview on oil and gas radioactivity. Would like to use this as a chance to challenge to a public debate on the topic?

On the heels of ⁦⁩ bombshell report on radiation risks of fracked gas comes this new research from Poland: Radon in gas decays into radioactive lead that lines pipelines at levels high enough to be classified as radioactive waste.

“It has been argued,” says Liz Moran, of “that if you close the loophole, you would put the [oil and gas] industry out of business.”

Big thank you to photojournalist for photographs in our story. In fact I'm not sure anyone has ever tried before to capture topic in photographs, he documented both the fear & humanity

Hit pieces are expected but 3 important notes 1. NO single federal agency regulates radioactivity brought to surface in oil & gas 2. has 1982 report clearly stating risks 3. Industry has already gone to court on this & lost

Finally got time to read this absolute scorcher from and it's as good as everyone said. These motherfuckers. “All oil-field workers,” says Fairlie, “are radiation workers.” But they don’t necessarily know it.

Having safe working procedures is one thing but too many companies fail in the implementation. I know from personal experience

Highlights from interview, 1. Drivers told they're hauling water..not radioactive materials 2. Would be fantastic if started examining this issue 3. A 1982 report lays out worker risks Thx

“Drivers are often told they’re hauling water; maybe they’re hauling saltwater. They are not told they’re hauling radioactive materials. And the reason that matters is they’re not appropriately protected from radioactive materials.”

EXEMPTIONS ON OIL & GAS WASTE make possible horror stories like this.. "The 'rain' it turned out, was produced water" and the produced water, it turned out, was likely radioactive "..Going all over our yard and all over my animals...I’m just furious"

As so wisely point out, it truly is a sad day when a music magazine must break news that critical reports their industry has been sitting on for decades convey their own workers face significant radioactivity risks
