Paul Whelan begged your father merely to tweet about him in 2019. When I profiled Elizabeth Whelan and her efforts to free her brother a few months later, the Trump White House did not so much as acknowledge my requests for comment. theatlantic.com/politics/archi

Trump slams trade with Russia, saying, "Why wasn’t former Marine Paul Whelan included in this totally one-sided transaction? He would have been let out for the asking." Begging the question then of why Trump didn't free Whelan, who was imprisoned in 2018 during Trump's presidency

It's amazing how quickly anti-democratic practices were normalized in WI. It took less than a decade. Here, the GOP Senate refuses to give the Dem Governor's appointees a hearing, holdover GOP appointees refuse to leave, and the GOP state supreme court says all of this is fine.

An NYPD cop accurately reported wrongdoing by his supervisors, so they raided his home, hauled him to the hospital in cuffs, and held him there for SIX DAYS under false claims he was having a "psychiatric emergency." When the ordeal ended, the hospital sent him a bill for $7,185.

the adnan case shows that if prosecutors commit ten different types of obvious misconduct to throw you in jail for life, and a dozen people devote their lives to helping you, and publicize your case to millions around the world, maybe you can be set free 23 years later
