For complete transparency; I do have a channel. But I'm nobody. I got 25 subs currently. My place on the platform is dedicated hobby at best. So that's NOT why I'm upset. I am upset because YouTube used to be a beautiful blank canvas for independant creators.

Then YouTube made fat stacks and started giving it to the creators that brought people to the site and made the opportunity for them to make all that money. Then offensive content got some big brands to pulled their moeny and YouTube got scared. Cuz they couldn't afford it.

They were giving money to creators but couldn't keep up with that payout now that pepsi and others dipped. So now the creators who made a living and expected that pay day for their bills, suddenly didn't have it. Because YouTube felt they couldn't afford to pay them like before.

So they programmed the A.I. to sweep all videos and demote as much "offensive content" as possible. Yet YouTube's cash cow creators and downright WEIRD "children's" videos were untouched. Which is PART of why holding Logan Paul accountable for the Japan crap was such a big deal.

Fast forward to now: H3, who has made groundbreaking legal headway for the internet as a whole by winning their lawsuit and defending fair use laws; they are now catching shit for talking about and (probably criticizing) Alex Jones... What kinda shit?

You straight up bone prominent creators, the platform over, who bring countless hours to your site, MAKING IT FUCKING POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO MAKE THAT MONEY, because What? You wanna save a few pennies? You don't want a bad reputation? It's all about the money! Isn't it?

I don't watch cable, I don't care about Hollywood. Mainstream media sucks. All of my celebrities are on YouTube. And they inspire me. Every. Fucking. Day. And that inspiration led me to making my own channel. I laugh and cry and feel for these self made internet stars.

I am a YouTuber, yes. But my loyalty is with these creators. The platform doesn't matter. I make videos. I upload them. Right now, it's YouTube. Tomorrow, could be some other paltofrm. And YouTube DOES have more opportunity than any other site. So I am grateful for that.

Don't get me wrong. I don't hate YouTube. I am criticizing the pattern of events and the company as a whole. The conduct is shit and they don't seem to care about anything but money these days. I want to see YouTube put the creators as priority over becoming some big name brand.

This is just bad business. They are pushing their creators away, and when they leave, so will their fans. Their traffic will go with them. I want @TeamYouTube to realize that before they fuck themselves over. I want YouTube to be THE platform for creators. But this is not that.
