Kinda surprised by the mostly positive critical reception for Detroit. I like Quantic Dream games, and think this is one of their weaker ones.

"I like Quantic Dream games" But I also know you don't like Beyond. So is it just Heavy Rain you like? Not sure how you feel about Fahrenheit, but if you like it, that means you only like 2/4 games. I'm thinking you may just not like Quantic Dream games. Which is fair.

The thing is, I like QD games despite their obvious flaws. Indigo prophecy was the first game of its type and I thought it was really innovative at the time. Heavy Rain had a ton of plot holes, but there are singular moments in the game that had me on the edge of my seat.

Beyond was the first one that just didn’t do much of anything for me. I didn’t like the characters, I wasn’t gripped by the story, and there were no real moments that stuck with me. So I’d say I liked QD games with the exception of Beyond.

And then yeah, we can talk more about Detroit in person. i really liked Connor and Hanks storyline, I wasn’t big on Markus or Kara’s. Markus’s story I felt kept on pushing me in a direction I didn’t want to go based on the choices I was making.

And Kara’s just had the worst ending for me that totally soured her whole story
