Serious Q: Obviously having too few characters in a fighting game is a problem, but is it also a problem to have too many? Getting good at a fighting game is almost as much about knowing what your opponents can do. Does it ever get overwhelming when you've got 40+ chars to learn?

Theres a LOT of that involved in MOBAs too - although I can only speak for HOTS. I often compare HOTS to fighting games bc of this exactly- you've gotta know the right combos and what works on which other heroes and know their playstyles too so you know how to dodge, engage, etc

I can go on for hours about the specifics of each hero and how you wanna avoid getting close to certain ones cuz they can put you to sleep and you've gotta get right next to others in order to be effective, or about tracer's blink ability and how it's more about knowing where-
