+ The pacing is so good. Every combat encounter starts small, builds to these big tense set piece moments, and is then followed up by character building/exposition moments to give you a well needed breather. Nothing outstays its welcome.

ON THE FLIP SIDE OF THAT. - I hate stealth in this game. It's clumsy, you don't have the kinds of tools or cues that proper stealth games would have to make stealth engaging, and YET, Stealth feels essential to survival. It's really frustrating.

- Theres a really annoying tendency for dialogue to start up between two characters while there's materials to be scavenged, which leads to this annoying issue where subtitles become mandatory because otherwise, people will start talking two rooms ahead of me and I cant hear them

- I wish there was a better system for key upgrades than "I found a book, now my shivs are better." Not a huge issue, I guess, but I wish big key upgrades were introduced in a more natural way.
