Non mobile devs always put disclaimers on trailers to let viewers know when something is not actual gameplay, but I saw a mobile game pretending to be a puzzle game that’s actually a dumb fallout shelter rip off

I've recently been playing a lot of ad-heavy mobile games and the current ad market is hilariously disingenuous. Even mobile games I've known about for years are strangely deceptive nowadays. I don't think it's a legal grey area, but I find it fascinating.

I love the ones that make the game look like it’s an escape room type puzzle, but then it’s actually a match 3 game

They use Facebook as a platform and FB approve fake trailers and pics as long as they made by devs and have some representation in-game... They also use heavily affiliate marketing (hire random people on a side to drive traffic). And the horrible thing is they do it for years.
