I freakin loved this game. Way more than I thought I would, considering how I didn't care much for FF15. What Square-Enix did here is something truly remarkable, not just in how they took a relatively tiny part of story from a giant RPG and made THAT into its own giant RPG,

but also how they were able to modernize both its gameplay and its story beats in a way that simultaneously feels fresh and true to its source. It does have some stretch marks in areas that feel longer than they need to,

but I was amazed that for the most part, (almost) every addition to the core story of FF7 Remake feels completely natural. Before playing the remake you'll think how could they possibly take a 3-4 hour portion of the original and make it into a 30-40 hour game.
