If I can be critical for a second on Sekiro though, a couple of its mechanics dont gel with me. There is no reason why you can't just get all of your spirit emblems restored when you die.
The game is hard enough already. It doesn't need the added difficulty of not being able to resurrect as many times as your upgrades allow, because you havent farmed enough recently to restore all of its energy.

That being said, HOO BOY some of those late game boss fights are hype as fuck.

I also think the deflection system requires intimate knowledge of boss animations and attack patterns. Making it feel a bit trial and error at first worsened by the annoyance of the checkpoint system. Like oh. Ok. Boss has a grab. Cool. Dead. Now lets spend 10 min getting back.

Definitely fair. The checkpoint placement hasn’t been too bad for me though, especially because it’s so much easier to run past enemies in this game for the most part.
