RELIGION! Marc Stern, general counsel at American Jewish Committee said the Jewish community was "clearly appalled" by the proposed ban. That is an older article from before the anti-circ movement actually started to gain traction. The end result is not that surprising. That being said, if people really want to push legislature through, they actually have to fight it tooth an nail. Not give up when it gets tough.

2011 not long ago-nothing changed-you think AJC wouldn't do same today? Intactivists worked hard as hell just to get BALLOT MEASURE in City of San Francisco to VOTE on whether to ban infant circumcision. Jewish lobby went to court to stop people from even being able to vote on it

2011 is nearly eight years ago, that's on the closer end of a decade. I'd say quite a bit has changed since then. If concerns revolve around the ballot being removed, then actually defend it using the legal system. Take it to court as well, possibly a higher one.

It is close to a decade ago yes, that's a fifth of my life ago, it's 4% of the time circumcision has been a 'medical' procedure in the USA, and it's 0.4% of the time since the bris was changed to add priah.

Unfortunately this is the result when you do something, or try to do something, through the legal system, you do get cries of antisemitism, whether they believe it's an attack on them or not the unfortunate truth is no one is willing to stand up to the Jewish lobby since WWII.
-
Ya+Jewish lobby deliberately twist cause/effect. Intactivists NO desire to target Jews-NOT what protecting little boys from mutilation is about. But they just MAKE us all "anti-Semites"-CREATE anti-Jewish resentment-I don't want to HARM Jews-I want to PROTECT Jewish baby boys too
-
The reality of the situation is this, society focuses so strongly of being tolerant of others that we forget that we should be intolerant of certain actions. The US wasn't founded on tolerance, it was founded on individuals who were intolerant of the government oppressing them.
