I'm sure this is true, but is there a simple explanation for why the effects of #GlobalWarming are nonlinear?

Sounds intuitive. Every species has some flexibility as to the habitat. Some more. Some less. Shifts of some fractions of a degree over a few decades were normal. Species/Ecosystems adapted to this. +1° is close to normal. More than +2° is completely out of natural variance.

Its tough right now with prolonged drought. water shortages, erratic temp changes, frequent & hotter heatwaves, mega bushfires. Can't imagine how unbearable even 1 degree more would make it. Climate migration already on the cards. Govt stuck on

In my view not husbanding our resources for the future is just as bad an idea, even if you one who doesn't believe in a climate crisis.pic.twitter.com/MrOSZsez7h

If we can't keep 2°C, we will not avoid 3°C, then we cannot prevent us from 7°C and then we will be wiped off the face of this planet. We already crossed some tipping points, and the permafrost melting at 2-3°C will start a process of no return. Sorry folks
