Is there any plausible scenario in which a 6C temperature increase causes the extinction of our species? Suffering, yes. Perhaps even collapse of industrialized civilization. But a plausible mechanism that would kill every last person? We are tenacious animals.

This is all total idiocy. The ludicrous graph shows a supposed 1.6% chance of an extra 6C at 450ppm, not "extinction". Clearly rubbish (it was 1950ppm in Jurassic - 3C more). Currently at 410ppm not "450ppm 5 years ago" . Max temps in UK fell 22C in 2days in July, so what?
