If they really want to oppose Trump, great. But they could have, anytime, with or without Democrats. This to me feels like the start of the next big lie, which will be that Trump was a creation of the complicit Democrats. Total lie for a media landscape optimized for lies.

“Trump is actually a Democrat” was the Republican line on Trump for a while in 2015 before it became clear he was their front runner, and they’ll return to it as soon as they get the bill for the damage they’re responsible for.
