Last year I wrote her obituary for @nytimes. But then her childhood friend sent me an email. This is what happened next.https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/10/nyregion/faith-hope-consolo.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage …

Here’s a clip of Bonnie Consolo, Faith’s stepmother, who was born without arms and could drive a car with her feet. You can also spot Faith’s father Frank at around minute 14. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=izJB8hdOLnI …

Also, I couldn’t have done this piece without @HilaryNYC. When I told her I had been contacted by a childhood friend of Faith who claimed her life was fabricated, she urged me to look at this as an opportunity to correct the record and helped guide my reporting. Thank you! 🙏

I just got an email from the vp of the Jewish cemetery where Faith (non Jewish and cremated) was secretly buried, alongside her longtime love: “Interesting article...especially the last 3 paragraphs. Not the first, won't be the last.” 😳

A New Yorker who lies and exaggerates? That’s crazy!

I'm a lifelong New Yorker - do you think lying and exaggeration is limited to some NY residents? Check the news coverage in the other cities; especially in D.C. where a certain former New Yorker took up residence.
