I spent all day yesterday crying for Texans who are fighting for their lives. My heart is broken. I cannot believe Republican Party would just let people die. No plan. Some covid19 deaths are deliberately being reported as pneumonia. Where is the humanity? Dear God. @GovAbbott

While I wholeheartedly agree, it takes courage, esp these days & in this particular era of the GOP, to admit wrongdoing, reverse course to make things right, & prioritize safety. We need more governors to do this. I don't want to send the message they will be shamed if they do.

I think there is room to applaud these actions while still shaming him for the mistakes he made along the way. But this is a good point.
