My friend @RepWalle and I have seen this happen to our communities. As other neighborhoods in Houston get multiple new & well stocked grocery stores, we get left with dollar stores or no store at all.
Corporate grocers have redlined America’s communities of color for decades. We need to overhaul food policy. those ideas might have some merit - more importantly teach EVERYONE about how to avoid obesity - diabetes - high blood pressure by eating actual food - remember? green and red and purple food - not junk

Fresh or even frozen produce is way less filling than say ; great value frozen chicken nuggets. We need to address poverty first and foremost.
