Nurses have to go through years of schooling and training on how to deescalate/handle patients in crisis on top of proving competency. Not only that, but our information is made publicly available online for anyone to see. Cops don't deserve this protective veil.

Agreed. In 2011, I introduced House Bill 2269 in Virginia House of Delegates to allow certain criminal records to be disclosed under our state's Freedom of Information Act so the public can have more transparency but our state police opposed it which killed my bill.

Public servants, physicians and anyone else with such integral and power centered positions should have transparent disciplinary and performance history. It’s unreal that you have to pay these people but they are nearly omnipotent .
