Officers carry weapons, they can never be a source of comfort for kids and they certainly do not belong in schools. Ever.

They definitely don’t belong in schools. Definitely. Police were a comfort to me as a child. They had guns, but that wasn’t a problem because I thought they were on my side. Kids of color don’t have the luxury of believing the police are going to protect them! This incident!

Not only the police but the people in that location who stood by and let that happen to a 6 year old baby.

They didn’t stand by they would have had to call the police in the first place. They were actively damaging this young girl’s psyche.
