Estonia got independence from the Soviet Union just 29 years ago and is light years ahead of the U.S. on digital democracy.
This is a total mess. I respect the people of Iowa, they’ve been great—but it’s become very clear that our democracy has been misserved by a broken system. #IACaucus

The problem here is that the state democratic party appears to have zero clue about how to roll out new technology. Given the momentousness of Iowa's role, could they not, you know, HAD A FULLY STAFFED HOTLINE???

Take heed electronic voting and these stupid new ballot marking fake “paper ballots” are prone to glitches and vulnerabilities. Paper ballots, Hans marked, hand counted.

Iowa Democrats should just focus on the caucus and not developing tech! This was not any of these issues in the past and its kinda transparent (it’s literally held in public gymnasiums with observers watching all over the state)

I am an Iowan and I was at the caucus last night as a precinct captain for
@PeteButtigieg. Our precinct was wonderful. Everyone did their duty in a respectful manner. Votes were counted accurately and double and triple checked. The fail was at the state level. -
Same at my Precinct. Everything ran smoothly.
