@JuliaLopezMP, I and a hundred other contractors like me have been told by our client that our roles are being offshored to India in March as a DIRECT RESULT of #IR35. All of us out of work overnight. Is this really what the “party of business” intended??

Just like the
#LoanChargeScandal it will destroy freelance jobs & already lots of skilled contractors have been laid off and jobs transferred offshore to India, etc. Try not to be so gullible Julia, you need to see this for what it is, a time bomb for the economy and disaster.

Here’s the fair & just
@DavidDavisMP letting you know the facts#HMRC “...Any action taken against taxpayers before that (2017) would be fundamentally at odds with the Rule of Law.” That includes ALL assessments open & closed before then.@loanchargeAPPGhttps://www.politicshome.com/news/uk/economy/taxation/house/house-magazine/108992/david-davis-mp-if-government-does-not-intervene …

It absolutely is NOT reviewing IR35 it has distorted the meaning of review to the limits of extreme. It is simply trying to see how they can get away implementing it as quietly as possible. 10000’s are about to lose their careers so Javid and Norman can appease their mates
#IR35 -
Surely if the work needs doing people will be employed to do it? This is an imperfect response to massive tax avoidance.

This is not a review it, its a consultation on how best to implement it. Less than 12wks before it goes live and their still trying work out how to implement it, kind of gives tou an idea how much of shit show it is.

I am a specialist in security forensics working in London and Scotland. I have 1 client that won't use my services any more because of the risk of a tax claim, even though my company pays tax properly. There's huge confusion for 1000's of professional & flexible workers.

Ask him if we can now have pensions, paid holiday, sick pay, and job security? No? Didn’t think so! The reason we pay slightly less tax is to cover these things whilst providing a flexible workforce. Latest
#IR35 changes will also drive newer contractors towards schemes. Wake up!Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
