Yeah, great idea by Havering council to charge £1.50 for an hours parking & do away with the 30 minutes free time. It’s totally devastated the local shops & car parks. Elm Park local streets now filled with cars avoiding the extortionate charges or not bothering to shop locallypic.twitter.com/aOlrQ6GUUH

This was the Appleton way car Park that’s normally rammed with shoppers cars. At Elm Park the meters were largely out of order and people afraid to park or not keen to make the phone call for the sake of popping in to pay a bill. It’s a ridiculous and negative policy by HC, awful
