Seeing the EU as our competitors rather than our partners is the erroneous thinking that got us into this mess.
Neither does it address the fact that the majority of people now want to remain - given how we were lied to during an illegal campaign.

Couldn’t agree more - what an absolute mess we now face , incredible some think of the EU as competitors not partners - amazing how many people you talk to now have changed their minds ... all very depressing

Don’t necessarily agree with leaving, but a approx 5yr EEA membership, which will surely give us time to negotiate trade deals and stop a potential exodus of car and financial companies to Europe

Well said. I have voted Tory all my life as have all my family. We have already had to suffer the transition period, the ridiculous 39bn and we should be having free trade deals in operation not a day longer than 2020 if we can get them signed. None of us will vote Tory again.
