When my daughter was in Y5 I requested leave to take her to Australia to be a flower girl and said we would do school work every day. She was ahead of the average grades at the time. The school refused & we didn't go. Rules are rules

This whole issue of term time holidays comes up every time the holiday season approaches. These prices don't increase, they simply reduce outside of these time in the colder months when companies can't sell the holidays so well.

Absolutely. Holiday companies also have to buy upfront hotel rooms etc for a whole season. they have to be able to cover the whole cost of that if they are to stay profitable.
