        Re open lines such as the GCR Manchester to London More open lines = more trains= less over crowding Scrap HS2 use the money to up date conventional railways. Nationalise.

        Rather than spending £bns on HS2, to save a few minutes on a journey most people will never make, invest some of that money in new lines and increased capacity across the country. Over £1bn already spent on HS2 without a foot of track being laid.
