Fatty foods aren't cheaper. They're just easier to cook.

Patronising bollocks. I've been on a low wage for years. I haven't got time for many things but I know that if I eat shit I'll be less healthy and I'll gain weight. It's a choice and many people choose easy over healthy.

A saucepan, an oven, a microwave. All available in the modern home. All perfectly capable of producing healthy, cheap food.

You're basically saying that people on lower incomes (i.e. the working class) are somehow incapable of managing their time and resources, which is patronising in the extreme.

It’s about bad choices. Much easier to make good choices when life is good, of course, but it’s still about choices.
