Hilarious. @arobertwebb went to an “excellent state school” that helped him get into a top university. He means a “grammar school”, of course. Yep, that’s privilege, alright, Robert. (Despite his excellent education, he can’t manage to post a tweet without abuse in it. I can.) https://twitter.com/arobertwebb/status/988156361681920000 …

Grammar Schools are privileged children streamed too early & marked as failures - my children all made Russell Group unis from state school (even tho offers were made for private education) time to stop the divide & make all schools excellent

You should tell the Labour Party! Baroness Chakrabarti and Ms Abbot could have saved themselves a fortune by not privately educating their own children. #forthefewnotthemany

Enlightening to find out so many of these once considered likeable entertainers are in reality quite nasty, rude and arrogant.

“Parents who encourage you to work hard?” That’s not privilege, that’s baseline, day-one parenting. Get on the case of those who don’t and leave those who do alone.

Julia, I often find when people feel this "guilty" about their "privilege", the public self flagellation is usually about the guilt for something else. If we meet I will tell you a prime example.

Haha going on like he went to grange hill with zammo and Roland ffs. He went to a grammar school that was first established in 1327 and then chartered by queen Elizabeth 1st in 1571.

He comes from Lincolnshire Grammer county. Very funny guy. slightly less than funny political opinions. Even Karl Marx though the luvvies would be a problem to the progress of the working classes. However, I'm too drunk to give the reference.
