Why don’t you just cycle on the sodding pavement like every other sodding cyclist in London?https://twitter.com/thejeremyvine/status/987725301001150464 …

Are you always this unpleasant or is it just about audience figures for you?

Nothing unpleasant about wanting cyclists not to hit me or my child as we walk along the pavement, is there?

Visited London a few times recently never realised how dangerous it is with these cyclists suddenly appearing, going through red lights, & on pavements etc. 😯😮

You might want to look up how many pedestrians were killed or injured by cyclists last year, then look up how many were killed or injured by motorists. Comparing the sets of figures will tell you where the real danger to you and your child comes from.

Cyclist hits pedestrian on pavement, ambulance called; cyclist pays £0. Cyclist hits car on road, 100% his fault; car driver pays £everything. Cyclists can cycle anywhere, cars shouldn’t go in their lanes, though only cars pay £RFL+ duty. Fair (& yes I cycle on the roads)?

1: riding a bike doesnt change you tax status. Everyone pays fornto the 'system' 2: Completely incorrect. U are conflating insurance with liability. 3: are U conveniently forgetting about those multi billion pound roads built for the exclusive use of motor vehicles - motorways

Wrong. PS. Ever heard of the ambulance fee too? Always paid for by the car driver. First rule of Twitter. Facts.

Yes. It is only charged during RTAs. Call an ambulance for any other reason and the cost is covered from general taxation.

Not really no, but you're more likely to be hit by a driver than a cyclist, even on the pavement....
