I’m shocked, I tell you, shocked. But I guess Prince Charles must have had the best CV and nailed the job interview. All credit to him.https://twitter.com/skynews/status/987381242990440448 …

This country has to change, if we are to breed leaders of high quality. Nepotism simply isn't good enough in the 21st Century. We need to recognise and nurture genuine talent.

Constitutionally I don’t think he’d be allowed to step aside.

Due to his age, he could be crowned King and William take on the duties as Prince Regent

I'm not. Unquestionably the right decision. The discussion should be about replacing the Sec. Gen. Scotland is a jobsworth, unworthy of a crucially influential position, with neither the ability nor the vision to advance Commonwealth interests.

I expected them to pick Diane Abbott or some grisly African dictator. Well done Charles, you won it on merit ans white privilege.

Maybe if they had pillaged their own diamonds they wouldn't be in debt, and you do realise if they wasn't part of our colonies they would of been part of someone elses, Dutch French Spanish ?

Its very easy to see only the benefits of colonising when you are the colonisers. Maybe theyd be colonised by someone else, that doesnt stop you from recognising the FULL role of the crown in africas history. Even India was robbed of many resources during its colonisation.
