Thread: Today I have led 140 MPs from 6 parties urging @theresa_may to take immediate action to address the #Windrush crisis. What is going on is grotesque, immoral and inhumane. It is a stain on our nation’s conscience and the PM must act urgently to right this historic wrong. pic.twitter.com/3XM6PXyYGF

Even amongst Brexit voters that were strong on controlling immigration , I doubt many or any wanted people who have been here decades to go . May should declare they can stay , or she is giving remainders ammunition.

Totally agree . Apart from been the compassionate thing to do, it would be a good show for Government, that their powers of control will be fair and recognise individual contribution in decision making

Its quite unreal that its been allowed to get to this stage. The government simply has no political antannae at all. Amber Rudd puts up a good image but as with the "business immigrants list" she seems to be pretty clueless.

The nattive british are by far more superior than the people they import. If the british build that country up to what it was in WW2, the native british can most asuredly rebuild their country

Not just Windrush. Happened to my mum several years ago who married an Englishman in the 50s. Guess they didn't fill in forms, because they weren't asked to. Must be many many other cases. Probably needs an amnesty because those involved are too elderly for the hassle.

This got me thinking....cash in your pensions, sell your home, retire to Antigua , Jamaica or wherever. It's warm, tropical and a cheaper less sophisticated way of life. What a prospect . Keep the passport though
