I didn't get your comment on the Duchess of Cambridge? Plenty of people don't have "proper jobs" what is the point of the remark? Just trying to clarify.
-
I do think that "people" have a tendency to project virtue onto actors and actresses and to a certain extent royalty. I believe this is in part to do with the fact that they are often beautiful or attractive. apotheosis with Diana who rarely said anything and wore clothes.

Kate does at least have a degree. sounds reasonably intelligent when she says something. sure she is a product of her comfortable background. Very constrained in her career options I would say due to marriage - I am not sorry for her - but what do you expect her to do or be?
-
A degree in 'History of Art' - the go-to subject for dense poshoes.
-
Not too much to indicate she is "dense" though is there? She has married well and lives well which is a great deal more than many with twice her brain achieve! Irony aside - what job would JHB have her do in her present circumstances? How would it help?
-
To marry well is not indicative if intelligence, merely being lucky & in the right place at the right time. Many young women have achieved that, then ridden the coattails of their influential husbands

There's something wrong when a woman regards motherhood as something of little value.

Very true. JHB's Tweet refers to Kate as merely 'having kids' what she's doing, I'm sure, is raising a family.

A job is not what defines a person.

The higher up the food chain, the easier it is to “achieve”, don’t you know. So much nepotism & many contacts.... just saying

isn't it every little girls dream to rise to the status of Princess? I'd say that's an achievement in itself.
-
My dream was to become a fighter pilot. But generally I think you are right. It's a tragedy that this passes for aspiration though.
-
I wanted to be a Harrier Jump Jet, not fly one, be one - not sure where/when it all went wrong. Maybe now I can merely identify as one?!
-
This doesn't surprise me as 1) I also wanted to be one for a while 2) it is by far the coolest jet ever. I think in future I will self identify as an Apache helicopter (mk1) as now I'm older I think being a helicopter is more realistic.

Now I want to watch re-runs of Chopper Squad.... that dates me

Chopper Squad and Airwolf! None of us are getting any younger

Let me show my age! Shorebirds anyone?
-
I don't know that one... do I need to take a look on YouTube?
